Groomsmen/Ringbearer Boutinierres
Really easy project. It just took me a while to figure out what I wanted. These are purple calla lilies from Hobby Lobby out of the floral section in the wedding department.
Supplies & Tools Needed: Flowers, Tape (Floral or Masking-I used masking), Pearl Bead Stem from Floral Department, Ribbon (I used a sheer and opaque ribbon), Scissors/wire cutters, Glue (I used E6000 but a hot glue gun would work as well)
Here are the steps
1. Remove price tags, snip stems to desired length.
2. Remove pearl section from stem and glue to stem of calla lily.
3. Wrap tape around stem. This helps smooth out any prickly wire ends and adds a bit of body to your stem.
4.Glue one end of your ribbon toward the bottom of the stem and fold over the end of the stem and begin to wrap the stem going upwards toward the flower. (This is much easier than starting from the top).
5. Once at the top glue the end of the ribbon the the "back" of your bout stem so that the end of the ribbon is not visible. Then snip any remaining ribbon.
6. Take the sheer ribbon and tie a single knot under the base of the flower. "Curl" the ends of the ribbon using a your scissors blades.
7.Repeat for remaining bouts. Then sit back and admire your work. :)
